- Hi, my name is Joely. My friend, Sonya introduced me to this fabulous thing known as blogging. What a great way to celebrate the beautiful family that God has given me. My hubby, Mark and our 2 fabulous boys, Oliver & Emerson, have filled my life with so much joy. Oliver is 4 and Emerson is 1 year. They are the main reason for this blog. They are Mango & Peanut! These are nicknames they were given while still in the womb. At the time, we didn't know what gender our babies were, but we knew we wanted to call them something other than "it" or "he/she". One night we were home watching Saturday Night Live, you know, back in the day when we still watched adult TV, and Chris Kattan was doing his Mango skit. Love it! Since the dr. was constantly comparing the baby to different fruit anyway, we decided using Mango would be perfect! Emerson is "peanut". This was given to him thanks to our very first ultrasound picture. He really looked like a peanut and it stuck. His Papa is the only one who exclusively calls him this. So, I hope you enjoy getting to know the loves of my life.
